What to expect?
- Daily 20 minute reading and log
- Daily Math work sheet or IXL
- Spelling assignments
- Reading Comprehension Sheet
- Students will have homework that will be going home with them every night, Monday- Thursday.
- Homework will be placed in their FISH binders.
- Your child should be reading at least 20 minutes a night (Books, Raz-Kids online, Tumblebooks-Public Library online, etc.).
- Math homework will be sent home every night based on what we learned that day in class. The math homework should be returned to school completed the next morning.
- Your child will also have spelling assignments they will need to study each week. The students will get the word list on Monday and the test will be on Friday. Their nightly spelling tasks will be on the bottom of their word list. More detailed information coming soon.
- Homework will evolve as students’ progress.

- Notes/Money- clear slip to put any notes or money
- Behavior Log-
- Reading Log- Book It!
- Spelling Homework Journal- students need to complete Day2-Day4 assignments in their spelling homework journal. Spelling homework will be checked on Fridays.
Things to continuously review:
- how to write a sentence correctly: capital letter at the beginning/punctuation at the end/proper spacing
- writing capital and lower case letters correctly
- writing numbers neatly and correctly
- practicing NEAT and clear handwriting
- writing first and last name correctly
- Dolch sight words
